xEssentials followed on from F.O.G., a sub brand that collaborated with Vans and American retailer Pac Sun. Founder, Jerry Lorenzo, wanted to create something that could stand alongside his mainline as its own being, all the while being offered at a price point that felt honest and reflective of the quality of the garments being produced. The Essentials brand includes a variety of garments such as oversized hoodies, sweatpants, and tees, in a clean aesthetic that will fit within a variety of wardrobe styles. Each season features new colours and tones, as well as some special-edition garments being produced for charitable reasons, such as a t-shirt released to honour rapper Nipsey Hussle, with 100% of proceeds going to Hussle’s children’s trust fund.
